New Galaxy A72 run on Snapdragon 720G chip?
There are already rumors that Samsung may announce the Galaxy A72 smartphone early next year. Now a different report says that the handset will have an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, along with eight gigabytes of RAM.
The GSM Arena report says the phone will come in two versions, 4G and 5G. The 4G version will come in 625F as SM, and the 5G version will come as 626B in SM.
The Galaxy A72 4G device scored 549 out of 1838 in the single-core and multi-core tests of the GeekBench 5. In a separate report, Business Insider said that the device will have Android 11.
The Galaxy A72 features a plastic back panel with an aluminum frame. The screen will be 7.8 inches in size, will have a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port and a speaker grille at the bottom.
The main camera is supposed to have a 64-megapixel camera. There will also be a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, five-megapixel macro, and a depth camera.
Samsung may also offer a new camera sensor in the smartphone. The new sensor will have more advanced post-processing algorithms that can further improve camera performance.
